This past Saturday and Sunday we kept extremely busy. In the morning, we went to Rumble Tumble, a tumbling gymnastics class for Liam and his friend Xander is in the class. Right after tumbling class, we went to Liam’s friend’s soccer game (Langston). Liam played at the park during the soccer game and wanted to run out into the soccer games. At the park, Liam was going up a tunnel to get to a slide. He was having trouble and it was blocking the rest of the kids. The girl behind him politely said “excuse me, excuse me”. Liam decided to learn that phrase and say it over and over again “excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me”. It was so funny! We then traveled to Sam’s Club. Liam loved the ipad because he could move the icons by swiping his hand. He then tried to do that to every phone. It was cute! That night we watched the toddlers and infants at the Crossing. Then Sunday, we went to the early service at the Crossing and then mass at the Catholic church. Liam learned how to bow his head and fold his hands together in prayer. Again, so cute! That night, Liam played with some friends while Jess and I went to small group.

Liam also clearly counted to five. He said, “one, two, three, four, fi” although he is not aware there is an order because it sounded like it was just from memory of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He really likes the number nine and has tried to say eight and ten.

On Tuesday night, Liam started sleeping in his big bed. He did very well. He woke up at 3:30am, but it’s most likely because he didn’t have enough to drink before bed since Monday night in his crib he did the same thing and the common factor was he didn’t drink his typical 12 – 16 ounces. Last night, Liam cried for a few minutes before falling asleep. He also woke up at 1:30am and Jess went in and used her magic touch that put him back to sleep within minutes. He crawled out of bed at 6:39am and since the bed is a big drop, he landed harder than he would have liked early in the morning. I’ll just pray that God gives both Jess and Liam strength and comfort, since they both woke up extra early this morning and Liam was upset that I had to leave.

On Saturday, Jess, Liam, and I went to the Niabi Zoo in Moline, Illinois. We all had lots of fun, especially Liam who was particularly enthusiastic about the animals, including the non-existent dinosaurs who were in statue form. Liam chased the ducks around, ran his hand down the fence posts, and chased after the train.

On Sunday, Liam’s friend Xander came over and they played for an hour. The two boys are starting to interact more and more each time they visit. Liam gave Xander a hug and Xander showed Liam how to high-five.
.
On Monday, Liam and I had fun playing games. We played with a toy car down in the basement. Upstairs before bedtime, Liam created a game. He gave me the golf club and golf ball and stood by the window. I hit the ball towards him and sometimes it would go between his feet. Then he would bring the ball back, lay it down, and then run back to the window. We did this repeatedly. Earlier, he would climb up onto a box on the side of the couch and then dive into me and I would catch him. I also noticed a while ago that he likes to pretend to drink and eat.

On Sunday, our church had a family sermon, where all the kids were in the congregation. At the beginning, they had all the kids from VBS up on stage and around the stage dancing and doing their sign language with the song. Liam decided that he wanted to join in on the action. He ran up to the stage, climbed the stairs, and started dancing with all the other kids. It was great to watch. He was mimicking some of their moves. Jess also told me that he was on the big screen for a time. Liam absolutely loves to dance and he had a great time.
