The Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan Wolverines.     Go Buckeyes!

.

I have been a Buckeye fan for 16 years now.  In that span, the Buckeyes are 9-7 against Michigan.

.

Liam is ready for the football game.

Go Cavs!

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

I just watched Lebron James hit three three pointers in a row!  He is awesome to watch.

The Cavs just broke down in the fourth quarter, but Lebron still managed to put on a show!

Browns Fan.

Mike and Mike in the Morning are running a poll for SportsNation – which is the hardest team to root for:

A. Cleveland Browns

B. L.A. Clippers

C. Oakland Raiders

D. Pittsburgh Pirates

It’s definitely been a painful 19 years as a Browns fan, especially the three years we weren’t in the NFL.   I have been and still remain a very, very loyal fan.  And I do not believe this drought will last forever!

Also, the Buckeyes, Indians, and Caveliers have helped to fill in the drought years with some success.

Monday Night Football: Come on Browns!

Monday, November 16th, 2009

It is so frustrating to watch my Browns give up two touchdowns so quickly in the second half!

Great block on the extra point!!!

As a moderately extreme optimist I am still holding out hope that my Browns, who have only 5 offensive touchdowns this season, can still come back from a 16 point deficit to win the game.  Maybe that makes me an extreme optimist to some!  [Seconds after posting this above point, the announcer said that if you are a Browns fan, you "Gotta Believe!"]

Very hard to watch!

19 years of watching mediocre and sometimes very bad play, but I still love my Browns!!!

Sunday Night Football

Monday, November 16th, 2009

What a game last night!  Colts come back from down 13 with less than six minutes left to steal the victory away from New England.  These are the types of games football fans live to see!  Two interesting events took place to allow this victory.  Patriots make a bold move to go for it on fourth down and two yards to go on their own 28.  If they make it, the game is over.  If they miss it, Colts just have to go 28 yards to score.  Brady throws the ball and it is bobbled by the wide receiver.  When he finally comes down with it, he is a yard short.  Had he not bobbled the ball, it would have been first down, game over.  With 1 minute and 57 seconds left, the Colts take over.   However, the Colts were taking their time because they did not want to give Brady much time to come back.  With about a minute and 10 seconds left (highlights afterwards confirms it was closer to a minute and 18 seconds left), the running back makes a break for it and was just stopped short at the one yard line.  Had he made it in, the Patriots would have had over a minute for one last drive.  Instead, two plays later the Colts score and only left 13 seconds on the clock.  One pass by Brady and a tackle by the Colts ended the game.   Absolutely Exciting!

I would have missed all that had it not been for Liam wanting to stay up a little longer.  As I am writing this – he is trying out all of the different sounds he knows.

Below is my recording of his sounds at this moment (he sounds a little fussy).
