First conversation with Liam

About a week or so ago, I had my first conversation with Liam. The TV turned off and he said, “What happened?” I said, “The TV turned off” and he said, “Oh”. That was the first official back and forth. Before that it is either him saying something or we are saying something to him.

Unexpected Whiteness!

Expressive Liam

Liam is not very verbal. He doesn’t yet speak in many sentences, but his non-verbal expressions are very advanced. The range of facial expressions, dances, and hand gestures are very extensive. He speaks a thousand words and sentences in his non-verbal expressions.
.
In addition, he is very polite and very loving towards his brother!

How do I know?

How do I know the journey I started in mid-October is the right one? Here are the reasons:
.

1) Scripture which I used to ignore, I no longer have to ignore.

2) Scripture which used to be confusing, is no longer confusing.

3) In Scripture, where I knew a seemingly weird interpretation, the interpretation is no longer weird.

4) Parallels in Scripture between the Old Testament and New Testament that used to be hidden are no longer hidden.

*Scripture is now more in unison, more complete, more understandable.
.
5) My prayer life is greatly increasing.

6) My reading of Scripture is expanding.

7) My joy in the Lord is exploding

My passion for God is getting deeper

9) My relationship with Jesus is becoming closer

10) I feel the Holy Spirit guiding me
.
If I fail to follow God down this path, then all of this will be lost!

Liam and Daneel

The other day Liam went into the kitchen and decided to try something on his own. He grabbed a bowl from the dishwasher and the cereal from the pantry and holding them both out in front of him, he poured the cereal into the bowl. I went into the kitchen just as he finished pouring the cereal into the bowl and was absolutely amazed at his coordination!

On Sunday night, Daneel and I camped out downstairs so that Jess could get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Daneel did really well. He ate at 1:45am and 3:00am and didn’t wake up again until 7:15am. Liam must have had a nightmare at 5:00am because he started screaming. I went and got him and brought him downstairs. He slept on my chest on his back for the next 2 hours. When I got up to take Daneel to Jess at 7:15, he was still passed out, so I took him upstairs to bed and he slept some more for the next 2 hours.

It was fun camping out downstairs with the boys!
