Today I took Liam to the babysitters, while I went to school to proctor an exam. I heard Liam and Charlie were grinning at each other while they were playing, but both were camera shy.

Exam Day
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010Crawling Backwards
Monday, February 22nd, 2010It’s fun watching Liam on the ground during tummy time. He pushes up on his arms to get on his knees, but he can’t hold the position for too long and he hasn’t been able to bring one of his knees forward yet. So when his legs go back down, it inches his body backwards. He keeps doing that so it looks like he is crawling backwards! And the whole time he is saying, “dah, dah”, over and over again, because he has learned the “d” sound. It’s too funny!
My Wife – the writer
Monday, February 22nd, 2010My wife is the best writer I know! I don’t hold a candle to her abilities of turning a phrase. I hope one day she can use her abilities to write a novel – I would read it a million times over! But for now, I will greatly appreciate reading her blogs! – jessicaday.org/blog
Sick Day
Monday, February 22nd, 2010Liam fought sleep extremely hard last night. For the last few weeks he has been going to bed by 8:30pm and waking up every three hours for a feeding. But, last night, Liam decided to stay awake until 10:42pm. I praise God because he let Liam sleep until 3:00am (four hours!). But since I decided to forgo a nap yesterday to watch several episodes of “Undercover Boss” with Jess, I am completely exhausted today. So I took a nap this morning when Liam slept from 10:45am – 11:55am. But I am going to wait until Jess comes home today before I think about doing any work. Maybe I will do some dishes, we’ll see.

I try to keep Liam happy by running him through the gammit. By that I mean…I start him off with tummy time, then move him to the swing, then to the exersaucer, then I will hold him for a little bit and start the process all over until Jess gets home. Liam is such a happy boy, but this past week he wants to be very active and he’s frustrated he can’t physically do all the things he wants to do right now, such as sitting up and playing with objects in front of him at the same time. Below is a picture of Liam in the swing.

No More Carrots Please!
Sunday, February 21st, 2010Well, we tried Liam on carrots yesterday. He was not a fan. He didn’t like them and he didn’t want them. So it’s going to be avocado, sweet potato, or banana until we try carrots again in a few days. Today it was sweet potato!

When I put Liam on the floor today, he likes to roll over onto his stomach and kick his legs and do push ups. Westie thought this meant Liam was ready to play, so she wagged her tail, put her head down and barked at Liam to play. He’s not ready yet, Westie.
