Grammy gave Liam his first Christmas present to open on Christmas Eve. She is starting a tradition of giving him a present every Christmas Eve. Below is a picture documentary of the event:

Liam is Funny!

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Today, Liam was talking to Westie.  It appears that right now he is also sleeping with his eyes open.  And he was also 35 minutes early on his very fixed 10:00am feeding.  It will be interesting to see what his length and weight is after this current growth spurt he must be on.

Western Illinois University Extends Job Offer

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Today at 11:05am, God blessed Jessica and I with being offered a job at Western Illinois University.  We had been praying for a long time that if God wanted us to go to WIU that he would bless us with an offer.  Praise God, he has definitely been great to Jessica and me!

Two must reads about our family’s experience this past few weeks:

Interesting facts:

1) Western Illinois University was the first school that I put on my list of places to send an application.  When I googled political science faculty openings, they were the first school I found.

2) WIU was the third school that I sent an application to.

3) WIU fulfills the one desire I have always had in being a member of the faculty- No one will ask me which state the University I teach at is in.
